Sunday Night Volleyball

For the longest time every Sunday was the same, some preparations were needed to start the game. Rake the court, tighten the net and inflate the ball. From the middle of Spring all the way through the Fall, nothing else in the world mattered, nothing at all. Bump, set, spike until one team reaches twenty one. It wasn't just the sport that made it so much fun, time with friends and family comes second to none. Even when a team lost everyone had a blast! All the wins and losses, no one was ever last. Every single Sunday was over way to fast. After the final game we all just hung around. Each week something better than victory was found. Companionship and love kept away all the frowns. No one wanted to leave at the end of the night. I knew it couldn't last, just wish I wasn't right. I'll cherish these memories until my last light. Sunday Night Volleyball ending was such a shame! Rake the court, tighten the net and inflate the ball. Bump, set, spike until one team reaches twenty one. Even when a team lost everyone had a blast! After the final game we all just hung around. No one wanted to leave at the end of the night. Sunday Night Volleyball ending was such a shame!
