Snowflakes
My mother does not believe in snow
When the news mention that it will snow
She thinks it must be a hoax or worse a conspiracy theory
Philadelphia has a long history of major winter snows
and snow falls
But every time that a snow storm is imminent in the city
My mother said that the weather people
don’t know what they are talking about
Looking out for her
I say mom they can’t be wrong all the time
But she repeats herself and say that it will not snow
Her disbelief does not stop her from running to the ACME
And buying tons of bread, milk, water, grits and potato chips
A Philly tradition
And at the first sight of a snowflake
I pick up the phone and call mom
To verify that it's really snowing
Mom pauses on the phone and then she say
Its going to rain
