Snowdancer
Snowflakes blow in a sky of gray
as the snowdancer dances her cares away.
Whirling and twirling in a sea of white,
warm breath escapes her lips,
dancing and slowly moving her hips.
Up above a snowbird flies
over the trees into dark skies.
The air is quiet.
The pines are green,
bowing low in this snowy scene.
The snowdancer's heart beats faster and faster,
moving and swaying on a floor of alabaster.
Music floats on cool, clean air.
The man of her dreams is somewhere out there.
Sparkling flakes cling to her gown
and decorate her hair of brown.
Arms outstretched as if in flight,
the snowdancer spins into the night.
The snowdancer spins into the night.
