In the depths of shadows, dark forces unwind. Unleashing violence and chaos are left behind. Confusion spreads as wildfire, consuming all And fears bear root in anxious long nights' calls. Anticipating horrors, civil war's cruel game, One who was once a victim is now a blame Sectarian killings, anonymous and grim, A profession for those without hope within But does it matter, the name of the corpse? Lying on the cold roads of an unknown source A symbol of a homeland sacrificed and sold. With a throw over his arm and a coat of gold The flags of treason, flutter high. While the sounds of bullets pierce the sky. No sanctuary to seek, no refuge to find, It's time to run, run, run, your life is designed. But amidst the darkness, a flicker of hope A glimmer of light, a way to cope. For in the depths of grief, unity will rise, Resistance against the evil that lies Heroes will emerge, defying the odds. Standing tall against the onslaught of gods. They will fight for justice, love, and peace. Bringing an ending to terror and bringing release The path may be treacherous, the battle fierce, But together they stand, their determination clear. No longer divided by hatred and fear, Amid the thunders, the howls of a wraith pierce; They unite, hand in hand, their voices strong. Marching forward, righting every wrong. In the depths of shadows, a phoenix will rise. From the ashes of destruction, hope will arise.

So well written. It had me trembling. I loathe wars. I know they have to be spoken of, lest we forget the horror. you crafted a remarkable poem my friend, as it chilled me to the core. Fait accompli
