The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Smoke

Curling through the invisible air
Drifting around my head
A grey mist
Born of fire and heat
Barely visible
Yet beautiful in the dim amber light
It floats on a gentle breeze
Dancing around the walls
Never resting
Never resting on anything
It moves in its own ethereal plane
Unaware of its own appearance
Not knowing of its own existence
Affected by the reality of our world
Yet unknowing of what we are
Why we are here
It drifts and fades
Spreading out into a world it doesn’t know
Until it exists no more
