Small Mistake

It must be painful to see how I've grown up Can you even look at me? We both lie Maybe in pieces But don't you cry Broken shards can always be fixed Although they may leave scars We both know we should be alive But that's so hard to do when we have already died Maybe they were right when they said you shouldn't have a child that I should have been dead We give and take We may bend but we'll never break because these scars will mend Does it kill you? To see me now Does it hurt you? To ask 'how'? ----We want to believe---- ----that we know what love is---- ----But how could we?---- ----We never loved ourselves----
