sandalwood

                    scented glimmer

          essence


          retains sweetness

                    for decades of hope
			
                             perfumed pause


                                                 darkness
                                        
                                      infused light
  
                              fragrance


                                      slow flicker
		
                                                balm for soul

                         			          mind aroma

			
                                                                    imbued oil levitates
		
                                                         lifts weary sadness
	
                                               heals

Kai, this is wonderful imagery. I can't remember . Is this the contest where you could also do evenfall? I do not recall the theme slow burn, so this is first one I have seen on that theme, and you did it exquisitely. Thanks, btw, for my win with my little haiku!
