Sloth

In idle pleasure he spends aimless days
A waste of time, no motivation.
He shows reluctance to divine design
His tag on life: no destination!

I do not have the time to do all I want to do, dear Eileen...and life is so short; I would not even dare think of idle pleasure, even though the temptation does occasionally arise :) Big hugs to you too my friend // paul

What a desperate soul he must be Paul, no direction, no care, no aim, or desire for life, he merely exists and is rotting from the inside out and from the outside in. An intense poem my friend. Blessings, warm regards and hugs dear Paul. Jennifer.

"His tag on life: no destination!" An exact definition of a sloth. Life is worth the living. So sad, that many fail to appreciate the simple things. Your thoughts hold so much truth, my dear friend. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

Paul, your rhyme had me looking up some facts about the sloth in Google Land: "..They are covered in algae, they have extra, creepy vertebrae and gross, long claws, they screech to attract a mate, and they are willing to eat liquid-y human waste.." I don't think I could ever like a sloth Paul but I have to say that I love your poem. Good luck in the contest. Cheers - Gary

With no motivation, no destination and just idle pleasures, his life is likely to be an utter failure .....! How can such a man perceive the divine design! Every tenet of a lazy man has come together in him. Great entry for the contest, dear friend !
