I was lost from all life,
silence was all I heard.
In this room, this empty room.
Where my life will be spent,
unless ,I wake from this tragic incident.
Happened two years ago,
driving home in mid-December.
Being pretty late, the moon was full,
and I remember, on my left stood the train station.
A few miles up the road,
Where the tracks, that still make my spin run cold.
The lights went on, screaming the train was coming,
I saw it racing for its destination.
Reaching for the brakes,
making it happen.
The hidden ice from under me,
the real reason why I’m in this room,
The ice is to blame!
My little car with me confined inside,
spun until the lights from the train met my eyes.
Screeching of brakes was heard for miles,
but the brakes were no help against the train.
As result here I lay,
nowhere to go, not much to do.
Remembering everything that happened that day,
even every breath I drew.
Living is a waste when it’s been sucked out of you.
Wondering if I’ll ever wake,
it’s the train that put me to sleep.
It took me two whole years to die,
now I’m leaving this room at last,
it will be best,
then all feeling was gone.
