Slick Limerick

Andrea lives in a city
In which every season is pretty!
But on a bad snow day,
She drives on the freeway
And curses because it’s so %#itty. (small edit for the kiddies)

**on our Utah license plates it says
"The Greatest Snow on Earth" (yeah, right)

For PD's Contest
(After I posted this, I realized, gosh, the title
really does work because few things are as
slick as a Utah road in winter.)

G'day Andrea... loved this topical limerick. Here's a few topics. Not sure if they suit you. 1)The average American in their lifetime spends six months waiting at red lights. I’m certain you could do something with this statistic. 2)Thou shalt not weigh more than thy refrigerator. Could be something to do with fast food addiction. 3)If I ever have twins, I'll use one for parts. 4)Housework - When is the good fairy getting here? Here has many rhyming words. Lindsay

This reminded me of my blog and made me smile. I must admit to be fast driver but I also am careful. I hate it when folks do not drive the speed limit on good roads. Thanks for reading my blog. I have not posted lately but hope to do some poems soon. love phyl

Very funny, Andrea, but I actually wish I lived in a place where "every season is pretty" instead of just hot. Congratulations on taking first place in the contest! Love, Carolyn

Very clever. You, you-you are good -->you! I had to investigate something really bad recently. It stopped me from rhyming for months. This is a breath of fresh air! I see congratulations are in order. Best wishes.

LOL, is the word gritty??? Lovely witty piece, my friend. We have the Slava Snow Show coming to the theatre next week - 4 clowns and literally tons of paper snow, that covers everywhere!

Slick and witty write, Andrea! Subtle edit too. A few of my old Limericks and comic verse would not be suitable for this site...LOL! xoxo Robert.

It is lovely to look at so picturesque, but not much fun to drive in for sure. Your poem says it all! Very witty.
