Sleepwalk
"On the waves of your smile my yearning sails
I see my dreamlike tomorrow in your eyes" - by Poet
The night you left leaving me forlorn,
the gloomy sky fell in melancholic shower.
In soft streetlight I saw your surreal silhouette
slowly disappear in obscurity mist, I didn’t forget.
The shadowy scene stuck in the maze of memory
weaved an ethereal tapestry of our untold story,
I thought someday I’d adorn my poem new,
the one I’d dedicate to our time and to you.
Memory has an imaginary habit of making dreams,
unushered they appear, unreal they don’t seem.
One night in dreamlike state I saw you return,
the way you walked away to the illusive oblivion.
In unsure steps as I went out and opened the door
to let you enter my room from the hazy memory lane,
I woke up hit by the torrent of the cold rain,
trancelike spell of sleepwalk melted, I lost you again.
