Sleeping Giants

The gentle breath Of sleeping giants Sweetly murmur In soothing rhythm Calm and enticing A soft tremble in the valley A false sense of security An illusion most welcome Hours of peace to soothe the heart Maybe temporary but It appeases the nervous souls Forests on steep mountain slopes Tremble in their wake The sun has set It’s cast its shadows As night descends on tiptoe AP: Honorable Mention 2020 Submitted on February 14, 2020 for contest STRAND SELECT P sponsored by BRIAN STRAND - RANKED 2ND posted on February 10, 2020
