Sleep

SLEEP Sleep overwhelms me Lover-like with soft hands Unseen face in the darkness of bedroom Brushing my eyes with Heavy drugged perfume She makes leaden my limbs I cannot - do not want to -- Resist her embrace Wave upon wave of silent kisses Hold me down on the pillow Till I surrender to her Perfume of dreams intoxicating And my head swims In an enfolding surge of Tiredness and lack of will
