Skyline Art To Home

Skyline Art to Home Skylines Puncturing clear blue blue skies, Evidence of mankind’s rise, Or fall. Skylines Winky, Twinkly, in dark black nights Changing, changing ‘til dawn from twilight, Low or tall. Skylines Wrapped in mystic fog of morn; Vehicles forced to press on horns; In a mood. Skylines Glued in cubist silhouette, God’s glory colors in the west, Weary workers brood. Skylines Never fail to instill a thrill When first seen while driving still Coming home. Skylines Familiar, welcoming with silent song, You know you’re where you belong, At home.

Funny how we see home differently when returning from a trip or journey of life. Very nice SW.

Awesome take on city life. Skylines are awesomely beautiful. I used to live in Boise Idaho and at night I'd drive into the mountains and sit and watch the sun go down and the city light up.

That's similar to me, Robert when I lived in El Paso as a youngster, and our family would take a drive up the side of the low mountans and watch the night lights twinkle on in El Paso and Juarez.

Lovely When away we dream of home and the cozy feel of being where we belong. When coming home the first thing we see is the skyline indicating we are getting closer. A thrill of anticipation stirs. Great job here my friend. A fine write. God Bless and a big 7 from me. Thanks so much for dropping by my page. JB

I really love the form of this poem and the message seems so simple but I can assure you, it is something many of us take for granted. There is always something to see, something familiar on our daily treks. And it is so true, after a long day that skyline that we recognize as home, there is nothing more comforting and beautiful. Nicely done my friend.

Oh this one speaks to me. Having an intimate relationship to my city as a bike courier for years and a birder always looking up, much of my art has revolved around skylines. Lovely write, 7 and a fave xomo
