Sky of Fireflies

whoa...
what a beautiful marriage
of beauty and wonder!
a twilight to remember
f i l l e d 
with breathlessly captivating magic
in the charcoal-dark firmament
dandelions
brighter than an afternoon sun
fly about overhead
in tens of thousands
children of the night
agog 
with excitement
thrilled,
t r a n s f i x e d;
many give chase
fireflies in a jar 
glow like frangipani
on a bright sunny day;
a feast 
for all eyes.
even the pack of wolves 
look up...
seduced.
