Sometimes we need to sit quietly Just to do nothing at all As we do this -we listen To the quiet sounds around us Then we hear our inner thoughts It talks to us -saying things to us Something we need to know Poetry ideas come easy this way Sometimes one idea or more Or just getting started reading A good mystery or romance Quietness is good it relaxes Good for the body and soul

My daughter bought me book called Books for living by Will Schwalbe. It is all about that very subject and more. This poem ticked all the boxes for me. I make the effort to sit quietly on a daily basis but try to avoid lying quietly for two long. Hope your poem gets read widely, Regards David

Sitting quietly definitely helps eliminate stress, clears the mind, allows more creativity, etc. It's important to me.. Sitting quietly rejuvenates me and I always feel better afterwards.. i really enjoyed this , my friend.! Wonderful poem! I Really can relate to..Have a blessed New Year!
