"God is my strength and my shield; He is my soul and
my heart; he is my breath, my song, and my reason."
Quote by _Constance
Sipping coffee- I contemplate my faith,
and an ornate church of flickering light;
even as a child I heard what God saith,
with essence drifting prayers I recite.
The small child, who was me, opens the doors,
my shoes clicking upon the marble floor;
beauty of my faith through the years endures,
the huge stained glass windows I still adore.
Like my coffee- there is an aroma,
a sweet, calm scent difficult to describe;
a smell that could wake me from a coma,
the church quiet, I think the statues sighed.
Dopamine swirls to create emotion;
Oh, faith in God is my life's foundation.
Oh, faith in God is my life's foundation,
and I surrender my heart to his word;
to fly a bird- float on a vast ocean,
God picks up the pieces of my soul stirred.
God is in every tree and bird that sings,
and Jesus is but a whisper away;
my faith exists in all beautiful things,
in each new sunset and sunrise each day.
My faith is within every sweet vista,
from mountain tops to a green swath of weeds;
the loud chorus of birds in rain misty,
butter's fluttering and on nectar feeds.
I hear him in the sound of snow falling;
my God and Jesus in my heart dwelling.
My God and Jesus in my heart dwelling,
this gift of writing was given to me;
sending it on the wings of birds flying,
they glide over the valleys and the sea.
I realize my coffee has gone cold,
new cup brewed- Oh, what a delicious smell;
I gather up all my memories old,
kissing each one I bid them all farewell.
I place them in God's strong arms to carry,
and he will let me rest in his white wings;
Oh, here is my angel cat called Glory,
come to give me her kisses and playthings.
God and Jesus help me in times of wraith;
Sipping coffee- I contemplate my faith.
“God within me is the enjoyer of the aroma
As also this dopamine boosting flavour I taste
I surrender all pleasures to the dweller of my heart
Breath by breath thus that my soul presence be chaste”
