Single-Use Pass

I have one pass to success — I have one pass per path I've had one flight, one success Going ahead—till one's last breath. You can hear Gabriel blowing his horn Yet, I took it for a breeze before storm  Then he toned down, "You won't be lorn" Maintain your prayers—to ride divine nirvana. Chorus — I have one pass to success — I have one pass per path I've had one flight, one success Going ahead—till one's last breath. Then thunder and rumblings erupted in skies In the cloud—I saw several gates swinging slay As I listened closely I heard a voice whispering Heavenly beings are making their way to Earth. Chorus — I have one pass to success— I have one pass per path I've had one flight, one success Going ahead—till one's last breath. Whatever emerges—I'm ready to meet all-merciful God I am aware that I must stand this day's penalty When I draw there—I wish to find (Fermata) replevy I wish to attain an elixir in the expansive sky. Chorus — I have one pass to success — I have one pass per path I've had one flight, one success Going ahead—till one's last breath. Going ahead—till one's last breath.

I sang to it. Lovely one. It's a journey that has some breaks and spikes but it's one where we have to keep moving regardless. Success comes with so many paths but we each have one to swim in.

Your poem's blend of personal aspiration with spiritual motifs makes it a compelling reflection on the journey of life. It suggests that true success is not just about worldly achievements but also about spiritual fulfillment and readiness to face the ultimate judgment. The use of a recurring chorus emphasizes the persistent nature of your quest, making the poem both memorable and impactful.

SP, I like the title and connection to the content. At first I thought I might be taking a ride on the subway, but this is much more. The fact that in the poem the speaker is feeling good about life and ready for whatever comes means this person led a fabulous existence. Perhaps it was ordinary....whatever it was, nice that the end comes with satisfaction and peace.
