Sincerely (From Scenes From Above)
I came and sat down beside you
Watched you decide what you would do
I met your family
I adored the way you got lost in insanity
I am who you think I am
I'm the answer to that simple question
Even more I lost a tear at my hearts suggestion
I touched the tip of your nose
Saw for myself every nightmare you opposed
I've seen the places that no human goes
I am exactly what you think I am
As I knelt down
From my very lungs escaped a whisper
No fog, no cold air, simply no one around
My soul was not tortured, Just imbearable
It seemed everything but time was shareable
I am more than you think I am
I was there the day your child was born
I smiled as the umbilical cord was torn
I saw new hope in her eyes
And even I cried
As I felt precipitation from the skies
Said gently, I'm sorry for the agony you've absorbed
Never knowing I was pushing a cart in the morgue
So little affection
Sinners soul plagued with perfection
I apologized once more
But it seems you have fallen in love with death
Are you still my friend
I am here for your final breath
