Simple Happiness
Me, if I don’t see a cornfield in the morning,
I am unhappy,
Me, if I don’t see a deer in a field, in the morning,
I am unhappy,
If I don’t dream about an hippopotamus in his lake in Kenya,
I am unhappy twice,
Me, if I don’t cross an oak and birches forest,
In the morning, I am unhappy,
If I don’t think of a witch on her broom,
If I don’t see a wild flower, a poppy,
I am unhappy,
If I don’t talk to plants or animals,
I’m unhappy for the day,
But what makes me most unhappy is to drink
My coffee, without you, you my panther, chatting like a
Chocolate bar, cruel as a well,
What do you want, I need other company,
I need to see a cornfield in the morning,
To be happy. Or to see peaceful deer
Go through my thoughts.
