Simple Difficulty of Love

There are a zillion things I could say to you:
For instance I could say;
I love you more than the secret love between sun and moon,
Love of dark fiery light that eclipse in the heart of my soul,
Love that blooms my earth and ocean
to a vortex of red life and blue love.

Or I could say:
I love you in the infinitude of divinity;
Love that smothers the stormy whispers of death,
Love which opens the skies of the celestial place
to stream the immortal spirit of eternal love in my soul.

Still, out of the zillion things I could say to you,
I find no words with the power to define my simple love for you.
And when I carefully listen to the voice of my voiceless soul,
listen to the words which closest define my eternal love for you
I need all my heart, my blood, my soul and strength
to say the words:
I love you.

I love the "simple" words you use in the last stanza of your sonnet. It is brilliant, honest and sweet! Congratulations on getting your "love poem" featured.

Congratulations, Gideon, on having your insightful poem featured this week. Some people do have difficulty saying those three words. And others use ithem all too frequently to their own advantage. Your way is better. When the time is right, the words will flow! As they did in this poem. Lovingly, DAS-J
