From negative thoughts he draws well
His horrible remarks can cut deep
Sometimes though teardrops seep

Hi Sara, this is a sensitive and accurate assessment of Simon Cowell's bearing. I watched a couple of the past American Idol shows. For some strange reason he would bring up some overweight contestants' weight to them, right there on national t.v. I thought this was appalling, especially because it has nothing to do with their singing abilities. I quit watching American Idol because of him. Now he's on another talent show, don't remember the name of it. Congratulations on the win. ~

I don't know much about Simon. Still I can guess that he is curt and outright in his remarks. Such people can sometimes offend others. Beautifully written clerihew, dear Sara. Congratulations on your win.

I have seen online some of the negative things he has said, I haven't actually watched the show in years. I'm glad to hear he is mellowing! Congratulations on your win Sara!

His words can cut deep yes hah! Well written and you’ve described him so well, i always found his honesty kind of refreshing, because i prefer such honesty instead of being sugarcoated. However sometimes he can be offensive too. I can see why you were a winner! Congratulations beautiful sara

Great Clerihew, Sara. I like Simon Cowell. Honesty is sometimes hard to say. Rather honesty then a letdown in the future if they kept trying. Sometimes Singing might not be their forte. I cannot hold a note & my granddaughter laughs at me when I try to dance.

Yes, Eve, I have seen some who needed to seek out another talent. LOL..Sometimes though he could be rude when it was not necessary. He does better now or maybe they do a better job screening the contestants ahead of time. Thanks for the visit ..Sara K
