Silhouettes In Moonlight
While dreaming in the loft above
I am haunted by a long lost love.
The gilded leaves of Autumn sigh
just as they did when we said goodbye.
On a passing cloud there floats a dream,
it's heart shape showing what it means.
Silhouettes in moonlight you and I,
reunited at last, we both cry.
The soft song of a summer breeze
enwraps as true love sets us free.
Hold me close my darling dear,
you may disappear again I fear.
How I have longed for your embrace,
to be held again and encased
in strong arms and pounding heart.
Never again we two shall part.
