Silhouette of Silence
Contorted cloud of fleeting cotton clumps
Tired of seeing contours of changing shapes
Tells the wind to stop blowing across the sky
The face adorning the shine of golden lines
As the spent sun sinks below remote skyline.
The last sunrays paint the leaves auburn
In the summer heat their frail faces curl
As the shape of youth crashes within as shards
In the fall wind they fly away from the bough
Tree wishes the spring to usher in the green.
The layered lean buds open their hued eyes
See the sleeping petals shape blissful bloom
In flowers soaking the colors of the spring air
Share the shades of sunset sky with butterflies
Until the spectacle of splendor withers forlorn.
My aloneness walks me on the desolate track
In the quietude of the serene silver moonbeam
With my shadow trailing your fading footprints
It will saunter until I find you engraved in heart
And you see me in the silhouette of silence.
