Crinkles around eyes and smile on my face,
attempting to hide the scars of my soul,
look toward the skies, praying for God’s grace.
Of wabi-sabi stains, remains no trace,
as friends and foes, my countenance extol;
crinkles around eyes and smile on my face.
Wounded and weary, I slow down my pace,
whilst though yet still playing out my life role,
look toward the skies, praying for God’s grace.
For both pain and pleasure, as I do brace,
my hypocritical heart scores a goal ~
crinkles around eyes and smile on my face.
Futile is seeking, of objects I chase
and yet as I do veer out of control,
look toward the skies, praying for God’s grace.
Seeing that life is no puzzle to lace,
my heart’s engulfed by bliss, that makes soul whole.
Crinkles around eyes and smile on my face,
look toward the skies, praying for God’s grace.
