Silent Screams
They do not hear the silent screams,
or see the dead eyes vacant stare;
It happens far away, elsewhere.
Just victims of corrupt regimes
or new planetary extremes,
self-evident, you think. I swear
they do not hear.
To me, a simple chap, it seems;
some listen to the party scare,
reality of truth foreswear,
to not upset their own sweet dreams;
they do not hear.
