Silent Raging Cyclone

He could not recall hearing anything Other than the scream of the hurricane. It was loud, with strength and might raging. The biting cold nearly drove him insane, And red lightning struck wildly everywhere. He saw, too, proof of the typhoon's actions— Trees uprooted, things thrown without a care— Yes, wherever his eyes landed — destruction! But as his airy eyes filled with heartbreak, No one else around him seemed to hear That the storm had turned his world dark, lost, bleak, A haven of chaos, panic and fear. No one else could see his inner cyclone— So he would have to face the storm alone. July 23, 2017
