Silent One Would Know

Dedicated to Silent One:  Thank you, my friend.
(Even if the name wasn't mentioned, Silent one would know).

Silent One can be silent but spoke when I came here long ago
And gave me a compliment on my poem, I tucked away in my heart
Then, I decided to continue on here from the start
Silent One’s poems are full of wisdom, always leaving the reader
Something to think or feel, with a significant lasting effect
Depth and sensitivity illuminating from his words,
Can remain in your mind, leading you to what you want to find
Caring but humble, Silent One who loves the silence,
Has everything it takes to break the silence in a loving way
With brilliant talent to make a difference in this world today

John Hamilton August 10, 2020 at 7:02 AM I agree Heidi, he was the first to comment when I first started, he sort of mentored me in the beginning, I learned a lot and continue learning from him. Sadly he doesn't get rewarded in the top 100 like before, but those of us who have been here a while know his immense talent whether recognized by admin or not. Silent One August 10, 2020 at 2:03 PM Yes, I remember... It seems to have changed, especially with POTD and POTW .. maybe a glitch in the system. John Hamilton August 10, 2020 at 12:20 PM Yes SO I know the top 100 is all computerized but they changed that because you regularly had 10 poems in the top 100, most of the time number 1, now you can't even break into the top 10, it's just wrong. I do not mind about the top 100, these things are all computerized and are not justification for the worth of a poem, for all poets, not just me... so many amazing poems miss out on that list..
