Silent now, his story faded
Into memories, heartfelt passions
Hushed by thoughts of a past
Where his light was vibrant, dancing
Through the dreams that waited
On nothing, no one… flames
Stirring the seas for zealous singers
Stars ablaze with hues of laughter, graying
Silent now, his features stoic
Life’s intimacies grow weary with knowing
Love has been his friend, his companion
Through the decades, he has found
Love is life and without it, there is doubt
That anything in the world is worthwhile
Even the stars in the sky flicker out at dawn
But love, for him, shimmers on an endless hope!
