Wat is th point of thes silent letters?

We se them evryda but they hav no purpos.
No wis thing to sa caus they hav
no voic.

Her to confus and moc us...
... well wat do you hav to sa for yorself silent letter?

(I cast them awa caus I onestly don't trust them)

I get your poem, even if it goes against everything I've been taught my whole life about silent letters. ;) It was tricky, but I liked that about it! It's easy to make fun of English because every single rule comes with several exceptions... no wonder it's so hard for foreigners to learn it! This wasn't all that deep... just going for the laughs!

I couldn't a joke about a silent P in Spanish. it started in a doctor's office. I can't write it here. Thanks for sharing. From what I learned of the language, the rules for pronouncing words are a lot more solid than English. You will have to tell me the story... possibly over soup mail?
