Silent Breakthrough

I needed the silence
No noise from the phone
No snowplows or wind
Branches or ice cracking
Just silence and a breakthrough
For words to return
For worries to leave
For peace to slow time, regularly
To take in my surroundings,
with striking observation
To feel my being in the here and now
Silence brought me what I need somehow
It’s right here in front of me
As my words tip-toe back, pleasantly

Hello Heidi ... a place to be for solitude so you can recharge your batteries for a few days - thank you Heidi - Lindsay

Yes Lindsay. I think they need recharging. I am pretty burnt out, tired and slow with the writing. I appreciate your kind visit and comment. Thank you :)

Beautiful write, Heidi. I have been a long believer in Silence. Practice Silence meditation daily. "In the silence, all is still; even the breath of time paused over the lips of eternity...now I know the meaning of a word-drop...and the ripple-voice of eternal sea." Blessings my friend. If you can find them on the web, long out of print I believe, anything on the Silence by Hanna Jacob Doumette would be a treasure to read. Joe.

Well said, Heidi. Many can relate to the bliss silence brings, especially when thinking and writing. For you nature is the best friend all around.

You're right my friend. When I'm writing... I need silence as well. If there's music playing in the background... it throw me off. Wonderful poem. Have a great day.

Thank you David. Sometimes, I like the music with writing, depending on what kind. Tonight I needed silence for everything. I hope you enjoy the evening :)
