Silence That I Keep
This silence that I keep leaves room for the unheard,
so I take one last breath and I gather up my words.
This s u f f e r i n g took its time I have been forgotten,
abandoned by the fear of the decayed and rotten.
My articulation for forgiveness has been murmured.
Like a r o s e withering in the night down to its roots,
its nourishing nectar contaminates and pollutes.
I collect all of its debris and seek atonement,
lost inside the sanctity of this abstract moment
yet, gathering my words invalidates and refutes.
I take the p l u n g e and deny what I say and do
feeling emotions that contradict all I ever knew.
My speech just brings nothing but complication
as my quarrel and debates bring only altercation.
My s o u l is but a medallion thief that turned into blue.
This silence that I keep fears all I ever said before,
now I have no time to explore what I should restore.
My voice has been nothing but a hush in the breeze
gathering up all my words praying this pain will cease.
One hundred wars have come...
arriving ten thousand more.
