Silence

Be quiet, be quiet kids
We don’t want to make daddy mad
We know how gets, he hits me
Then we are all sad

Sometimes he hits you guys too
And there is nothing I can do
He has threatened to kill us all
If we leave if I try to protect you

Be quiet kids, do what he says
But wait what did you tell your teacher
He touched you where?
Bad enough he hits us but he didn’t have to go there

Break the silence kids, don’t protect him
I’m leaving for a while and you’ll stay with granny
I said stay silent when he hit you guys but now he’s upped the ante

Thank you kids for calling the cops
Before I had a chance to commit a crime
And I promise you next guy I get will be good
If not speak up no more silence not next time.
