Sights On the Other Side of the World

There are people on the other side of the world
Whom I will probably never meet or know
People who will have no idea who I am

There are sights on the others side of the world
That I have read about and seen photos of
Sights that may or may not really be there.
How would I know?

There are animals I will never see or hear.
For all I know unicorns and dragons live in Africa.
It’s not like I have been there or will ever go.

There could be giant crabs in South America.
Man-eating crabs in bioluminescent colors.
I do not doubt it.

I ponder the wonders of the world which I will never see
And I smile, for it is fun to imagine all of them and more.

You are a princess dwelling in the world of imagination and you give wings to your imagination that we too see with your eyes strange and wonderful creatures on the other side of the world !

Thank you Valsa; I like being a faerie, a princess and a unicorn protector.

I'm still wondering at what kind of strange, tiny creatures are hiding inside my TV. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ... ~ Rod Serling

They are there, and Rod Serling can bring them out. Where is he when we need him?

Hello Caren, I really enjoyed this imaginative work about the mind’s potential to conceive of things people and places from a distance. Your short story “You Will Need A Partner” is extremely well executed. Best wishes Howard

I like knowing that Stonehenge and the Amazon rainforest and the tombs of Ancient Egypt and the Milky Way may exist.

Sadly more and more of them will be disappearing. I heard that in time, children will not even see live Koalas or other animals we see today in zoos. I hope these many beauties of the world can be preserved.

That is so sad. Incredibly sad.
