Sides
I have never felt so alone as I did tonight,
next to your side,
the grief from your mind reassured me this was fact.
Selfish fact.
You feel despair,
as we all have.
You feel futile,
as we all have.
I tried to express that there are two sides.
I failed and your thoughts are infectious.
Feelings I cherish, love, connection, fate.
Now they make me feel a fool.
What have I discovered?
I have never felt so alone.
