Shyness
What is it like to be shy?
It is the fear to be seen by others,
When you long for attention.
It is the embarrassment that arises,
When you are faced in front of the
multi-eyed multitude,
As they recognize your accomplishments.
It is the self-loathing you feel,
When you cannot be seen by others
who wish to know you,
Because you are afraid to.
It is to live a life in solitude,
Drowning alone in silence
without anyone to help,
Because you are incapable of being known.
It is a living death
of anonymity.
