Should I Change the World

Should I write a piece that would liberates minds, stop warfare, or inspire
Should we ever share common desire to change the world’s attire
May that piece persuade us to love one another
Rather their race be Black, White, Latino, or other
May that piece bring a cease to political corruption
Stopping varied destruction of all kinds and any other obstruction
May the words wash hands of the wicked souls
Fill the poor’s appetite and lend hands to ambitious goals
Should the 9th line state in order rebuild we must destroy
Overlook irrelevant decoyed and may new thought be employed
Should the 11th make you reflect and think destroying is what we’ve embraced
should I write a piece to change the world and make us rebuild this place
……coming soon

(I will change/save the world. Not really sure how yet but I will. James Faulkner will
change/save the world.)

great poem James, and while we may not be able to change the whole world, perhaps by helping another person we may be able to change their world.

You've already started. If the whole world doesn't change, at least your part of it will be a better place. Go for it!!!! Vince

Very impressive write. As I've heard in the movie Evan Almighty, 'Change the world with one random act of kindness at a time' hopefully it will start a chain reaction and yes, yes, yes, keep on writing...

Hi James ..long time no hear..smile. The above sentiment comes from a good heart! I believe you want "whether" where you have Rather? The world, life, the universe, the universes are in a constant state of destruction and rebirth. There is no stopping it without stopping death and life. Perhaps, we have some choice in where we focus our destruction? Light & Love Debbie
