Shooting Stars
We are being bombarded by space debris.
That’s why there are shooting stars that we see.
We can be thankful very few of them hit the earth today.
Most are small enough to burn in the atmosphere along the way.
We usually can’t see the ones that fall in daylight.
If a space rock hits the earth, it is called a meteorite.
Craters can form, but there are not many to see
That’s why the earth’s surface doesn’t look like the Moon or Mercury.
If they are too big, there will be no joys.
We will have to call Bruce Willis and his boys.
Can earth be left in the hands of some oil drillers?
The thought of that is enough to give me chillers!
