Shells

The heedless oceans hurl them to the shore
Sometimes shattered, sometimes a little broken
Sometimes perfectly shaped
Shaped through tides of many destinies
They come
Ever-moving, ever-changing
Through oceans of love, storms and stillness
Through gentle breezes of wisdom
They flow in Life's eternal embrace
Like me...

Sometimes shattered, sometimes a little broken
Sometimes perfectly shaped...

Beautiful piece, love the analogy, Sheila. I love the sea, so this spoke to me....We are like shells..indeed. Thanks for the visit to my poem.

Lovely read! Not so complicated, when you thing about it...how all life mimics one another. The forces dividing us, are the same forces cementing us together. Be kind to one another--to earth, our mother--remain grateful for a loving God that is all....

Yes Mrs Sheila, such is life! "Life is 10 percent what you make it, and 90 percent how you take it." Love the write!
