Sheets
The sheets smelled like Summer hanging on the line
The sheets smelled like Summer evoking a simpler time
The sheets smelled like Summer, when time was all we had
The sheets smelled like Summer, when we were all happy not sad
The sheets smelled like Summer, and life was full of promise,
and that is what I truly miss.
