She Said I Got To Go Home

She said I got to go home

as she resides so far far away

the miles are so long

it will take traveling near a day

the distance is abroad

going home is on her list

as she prepares to go home 

that she so definitely miss

home is where she was born

some family and friends are there

I got to go home she replied

for she is not alone

just a visit or two

I definitely understand you

never forget where you were born

God blessed you there and now

giving thanks and praise

giving back where the foundation was laid.
