Notes About The Poem

She Loves

She loves cool, crisp breezes along the shore
Warm smiles and rom-coms she's cried to before
She loves fall, dogs and biking
Babies, laughter and hiking
But somehow, she doesn't love me anymore

But I am loveable, Valsa! Still, I'll take your advice.

Lovely heartfelt poetry Robert. Love how you used the love in the beginning and then the contrast at the end shocking the reader. Clever play on words. Love the twist at the end my friend...

Dear Robert, such a tender piece in Limerick form! I really enjoyed reading your poem, and thought a lot about it - there must be an interesting story behind your verse. Warm wishes ~ Mala

Hello Malabika, a quote from Paul McCartney; Love has a nasty habit of disappearing over night! I'm subject to heartbreak like everyone else. Best to you! Robert

I like this piece a lot, Robert...as poignant as it is. The human heart has an infinite capacity to love, I believe, but that doesn't necessarily also include constancy.

Yes indeed! Love can be very volatile. Thanks, Jim!
