she is a delight
Once famous, she is unrecognizable now
Due to her age, lack of hair, and loss of a tooth
She now lives on the streets of Las Vegas
I choose this life, she told me
Because I need to give out Bibles
I want to save people’s souls
If I did not live among them,
They would not trust me
I have no idea whether this was all truth
Partial truth
Or if it had a sliver of truth
But she was a marvelous singer
She could out-sing a church
I know this because I took her to mine
And she out-sang the church
She is a delight, and I am proud to know her
She has no car, so I give her rides from time to time
