She Bean Counts Her Days
She slept in and awoke late, a cardboard pizza is what she ate. Today's agenda, the grocery store, food supplies, an endless chore. Her home as quiet as a tomb. Perhaps she should have slept til noon? For sleep provides a great reprieve, where the mind with dreams can interweave. Her cats provide the synergy, her reason to assert energy. She bean counts the days since being at war and quietly prays there won't be much more.
