Shatters Glass Ceilings

Poetry speaks the language of the soul,
its meaning interpreted by the heart.
And its words can either make you feel whole,
or emotionally tear you apart.

A poet adds an accent of wonder;
when transferring thoughts to pen and paper.
And when convictions are torn asunder,
long-held beliefs dissipate like vapor.

Poems capture your darkest hours of grief,
as well as magical moments of joy.
And time stretches moments beyond belief,
tethered to emotions poets employ.

Poetry is a collage of feelings,
that mirrors life and shatters glass ceilings.
