Shared Dreams
I watch a shadow
run me down,
as it gets closer
my breathing
slows
no death in dark garb
but malice,
intent on grinding
my bones into
the grain
of my nightmare,
when I wake
no more, he will
step back
from the shadow
and live again
while ever I breathe,
he will hate on hate
having to share
the same planet
with someone
who is a waste,
of perfectly good space
between his eyes,
he will never get me out
as I am ingrained
in his nightmare,
he dwells
in all of mine
