Shadows On the Land

A deep and lasting 
peace
       has been disturbed 
      by the winds 
                   of our time
    Shadows on the land
For every postcard
    you send out
during this time of 
     cool winds
     You will receive 
and answer
     It may not be the 
answer you wanted
    But know that 
the sun, moon, and stars
     Are all on your side
Far distant galaxies 
      are calling your NAME

Since childhood, I have heard the galaxies beckoning, Matthew. This is beautifully written -- man in relationship to the universe. Indeed, the "winds of our time" are often disturbing, but we send out messages seeking answers. Quite a compelling and very thought-provoking poem! Excellent write - it goes to my faves. Matthew, Astrology and the alighnment of the planets do play a big part of our lives. It affects water and tieds. It is said birth of babies and even mental illness due to the shift of water masses in the brain "Far distant galaxies are calling your name" does say alot More than some may realize. Didn't Cher sing that "Cherokee People at one time. I have other Native American poetry on VoicesNet.com. Do keep up the writting Matthew. I did like this one very much..
