Shadows

I watched the shadows of my life
Drift find me long ago
Passing through each day and night
I lost my heart and soul
When I wake up in the morning
 Feeling lonely feeling cold
It's because I watched the shadows
Of my life drift by me long ago

I move toward every day
 Remember the empty past
I look into the mirror
But there's no one looking back
Light shines brightly on me
But there's no shadow to be cast
As I stand here Cold and silent
Like a specter from the past
