Shadows

City lights Are growing dim As music in the hall Slows down. And, lovers . . . Holding close . . . Dance to rhythms Of swaying shadows On the wall. In the streets, I see the lonely ones Who stand in shadows tall And tremble . . . From the fear . . . Of empty rooms And, conversations Not returned.

Well...this poem brings me back to 7th grade (I was all alone...haha). But, despite that horrible memory, WONDERFUL poem! It's good to help the people who are in need (even loners like I). (David B)

Jha,I've been in the high desert clensing my mind and I'm slow in responding.Sorry! You're so right .I once stopped my car and gave an elderly homeless lady a $20 and a hug.I thought she'd never stop crying and shaking.I'm still blessed when i think about it. crossfox

Windy,This poem was written in the Stagecoach Inn in oakdale Cal. . After the dancing ended I heard Two people say how much they hated to go home to an empty room with no one to talk to. Thus the poem. Crossfox
