Song of Solomon 4:6 (KJV) “Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.” The shadow of a smile, reflecting hope, joy, desire, endless as a blazing fire, kindled by hearts who inspire. Shadows, silhouettes of pleasure, erase the whisper of a dark, twilight’s bleeding, into the memories, the hearts, the spirits, where lasting grace, always remembers, the breathless ache of a life collected, on thoughts of light, thoughts unexpected, kindness, grace, expressions what it is to love, without conditions. Shadows, silent as the sun’s rising, restoring the skies, bluer than life, still life, supple as reason, crazy, who knew she’d be dreaming, like the music who fades into the senses, pleasant, each note, a wish, a whimsy lasting, the twin of grace, who believes, who keeps giving, through every fear, despite the rain that tempts the feelings, even on cold winter nights, she still sings, harmonizing with the memory, who could be wrong. Shadows, vibrant hues of beautiful, risking a kiss, risking a heart, blessing away the quiet, without a spark destined to experience the light, piercing through the first stages of night, twilight, fading beneath the cool winds, trembling like the hesitant heart, beating, rhythmic as the color of lasting, feelings fall into the abyss, arousing, tones of joy and quiet as the serenity who never stops believing, it is alive with the wonder, the cloudless sea of rest, calm as the colorless moments, before her heart finally shed, the grief that daunted, haunting even her best days, silent as the hope, pressed in on her, breathing silence, creativity in sighs… shadows, gossamer kisses in hesitant feelings, saving the spider’s web whispers, ethereal glowing always knowing, forever there comes the assurance that love, this gentling surrounding us, its light, flimsy, in threads of frothy promises, echoing hope, beyond the shadows, into the heavy gusts of a former, who brings, alive, the desire, the fire burning for the clearest, glassy resting of a word, poetry on the prism, rhythms so kind they remind me, His design is alive, like the seas, the winds, the sunlight, soothing away the night, writing hope into the heart, writing love into the soul, writing God… the message, knowing He is the light, beneath the shadows, signing the life with insight, signing names in His book of life, where we will be known, where we will know… eternity for our weary soul, everlasting for the heart who holds… love that just grows and grows, love for the King, love for our brothers, love that believes He is the answer, to every dream, every prayer, every need. He truly is… Everything!

such beautiful imagery in your poem, dear Gina. The way you used 'silhouettes' was unique and captivating. I especially liked: Shadows, silent as the sun’s rising, restoring the skies, bluer than life, still life, supple as reason, crazy, who knew she’d be dreaming, Your poem was reassuring and filled with love and faith. Have a blessed evening, Sara
